I know it's tough in small, over served markets, but it's also a struggle in a place like San Diego with border signals and L.A. booming in. Here in Memphis I think Entercom is doing OK, but the rest are all trying to stay afloat.
Could Somebody, (RadeoEngineer, J. Boyd, DumbMsDj) Direct Me Where To Get Info On How To Start A New Subject In Mississippi?

IF NLA keeps an Urban format the new signal would put WNLA as serious competitor for both WBAD and WCLD-FM. WNLA will city grade Indianola, Greenville, and Cleveland.

Neither BAD or CLD hits the other market with a city grade signal. Only BAD makes Cleveland with even a 70dbu signal.

WNLA will have both a great location and tower height to it's advantage.

WLTM 97.9's horizontal operation has nothing to do with WDFX 98.3 in Cleveland. The stations are fully-spaced. Moreover, WLTM was there first. It's just that previous licensees never wanted to spend the money to go circular. When the tower fell down in the '94 ice storm, ERI had to make a special horizontal-only antenna because the then-licensee didn't want to have to buy a bigger transmitter to achieve 50kw ERP circular. The pending application is for 100kw H & V at a new site near Hollandale. When built, it will be only the second 100kw facility in the Delta. I'm not counting on the existing 100kw'ers for obvious reasons. Now, I just have to win the lottery to pay for it.
