WNMB Moving. Going Home.

In early March, we are taking WNMB back full time to our building at 429 Pine Avenue in North Myrtle Beach. Studios and offices will be located there. Earlier we had leased space to another station, but effective in March, WNMB will be the only station in the building. In either late March or early April we'll have a "homecoming" celebration with an open house, some special entertainment, and a lot of food. All fellow broadcasters will be invited, so we'll post the specific date soon.

Curious, I read in the trades that you had plans to build a nice studio on Water Tower Road outside of N. Myrtle Beach, SC. Do you still see this as a reality?

I have a plan I designed a long time ago and have always wanted to build it. When our tenant in the WNMB Building wanted more space, we saw it as a perfect opportunity. So, we had a site plan designed and had an architect draw our building plans. We got a nice new driveway at Water Tower road and some stakes in the ground, and a new paved road, and then...tenant had a situation. End result, we've decided to put the new building on hold and go back to 429 Pine Avenue. The truth is, it really feels good to go back to our own building and our roots. in retrospect, it was a mistake to leave it. We've spent a lot on the building in the past couple of years to keep it up to date, and it really does feel like a homecoming. We'll take this opportunity to be very deliberate and wire up everything real nice, add some new gear, and get back to business.

Any chance 1450 AM can simulcast so people in Myrtle Beach can hear what a great station this is? Last I heard no one was listening to it but I could be wrong.

And someone said Sunny has changed format again.

We actually inquired awhile back about purchasing 1450, but he price we were quoted made me lost interest quickly. We are looking at another possibility in the market for expansion, but like everyone, it pays to be careful in this economy.
