WNML/WNRX FM changes

I just noticed today that WNML-FM has changed its COL from Loudon to Friendsville which will put a better signal into Knoxville, also they are moving the WNRX-FM's tower from New Market to Jefferson City to accommodate the move. I wonder why they waited so long to do this or do they have other plans in the mix.

Cool! Finally some information!

I asked about this several months ago when I heard them talking about this on the air. Somebody posted a link to something that looked like a tax form that didn't make any sense to me. And it didn't say anything I could see about whether it'd be sports or a news station.

I'm hoping this will mean being able to hear Sports Animal without being in a car. What I fear is this isn't for making that listenable, that instead it has something to do with the big ruckus over the News signal getting so much worse in that big change last year!

Any word on when this will happen?? Can a change like this occur before football season?

As I understand it, the change makes 99.1 stronger inside Knox County, while also allowing them to later alter the signal for 98.7. I have no idea what those changes are, but this tweak is supposed to help both.
