WNNH/WLKZ using the O word again

I noticed while up in the Lakes Region for a couple days that 99.1 WNNH/104.9 WLKZ is now calling themselves "Oldies 99 & 104-9." It's an actual simulcast now, not just the same music with different liners/DJs like they were doing last year. There's no indication of this on either website.

a couple of weeks ago I caught some of the morning show and Warren was talking about how much he loved bran cereal, wow was I glued to my radio!!!!!! Great stuff.

Its kinda like watching them rearrange the chairs on the titanic

Hey, some people like kitsch. The "isn't that nice?" crowd. Not our cup of tea, but someone just might be getting a kick out of it. It is, after all, NH radio.

I don't know, for sure, but I think they were more successful when they were oldies versus moving to the 70s stuff. I know that while I enjoy 70s radio gold every once and awhile, I grew up on that stuff. I would much rather listen to the Sinatra/Martin standards or 50s stuff, which is, shockingly, fresher to me. :)

Wow. So the only station left in the Gilford studios are WLNH & WEMJ. Wow! Any word what happens to longtime morning guy Pat Kelly? Hell of a nice guy.

Pat is doing mid-days on the WNNH/WLKZ simulcast. As I understand it the "main studios" of WLKZ, WNHW, and WWHQ are in Village West, as the Hooksett studios are way outside the 25 mile limit for Wolfeboro, Belmont, and Meredith respectively.

Well, people around the lakes region grew up with Warren since the late 70's. His personality fits the oldies format and I think he will do well. Pat is a great guy. He can sleep in now and maybe spend more time with his kids. I'd take the deal.
