Check out the Philly message board. Rumblings of Toby Knapp moving on to Q102? Interesting! Any thoughts?

ALSO - Anyone know who was filling in for Jonathon Rush this week in AM drive? I couldn't catch his name.

Great move and big promotion for Toby if it happens! From APD in Tampa to PD in Cola to PD in Philly at a legendary station...

Gang...

I am flattered to say the least. Thank you. You may or may not know this, but I've worked at Q in some shape or form since 1998. Always part time. It was and is an honor to voicetrack from Tampa first and then, from COLA to Philly on weekends when they need me. I'm glad Todd, the PD there, feels free to let me voicetrack into his market. Brian gave a rough radio kid his first major market shot there (he's now at kkrz in portland where i also track)... and i'll never forget it. Crackin' the mic in that town was and always is an awesome feeling.

That being said, Todd, is my good radio friend and the PD of that station. They don't need a PD. They need an afternoon SLAMMER. If I know my friend, he'll hire a gunslinger who will remind his competition in that town just exactly who the radio boss is. And, I've given him a few names of people to call... trust me... if he does what i think he'll do, Q continue to dominate in afternoons. Todd is a PD who has plenty of tricks up his sleeve and a load of resources to call on.

I am not a candidate for the PM Drive position in Philly. I'm the PD at WNOK in Columbia, and we've still got more work to do. I've still got much more to learn. And, our team here together has further to climb... together.

Maybe someday... but not today ;)

And... I was in for el Rushbo this week... I know, I sucked. I should have given up mornings after Lancaster for good...

Congrats to all who had a good trend today. Best of luck to you and your families. Feel free to email me if you wish... [email protected]

And, lets' all try to do some great radio... with a ton of passion!

Now, if you'll excuse me, I've got a club gig with ADD from ARQ in an hour... and I need to get ready to go...

All the best....

Toby,
I don't know you from Adam, but I thought you did a good job the morning I heard you. Honestly, better than Rush. You seemed more informed and relatable to the audience. Sometimes Rush sounds old. But I still like Rush, but you were a fresh sound with some extra energy.

Toby - I agree. You sounded good. I normally don't listen in the morning but enjoyed you filling in. Hope to hear it again soon.

Hey knucklehead....glad to "see" you. Things here in Philly are just fine. Let's pound a few if you ever get up here....
