Kudos to RAYNE at Radionow 100.9 for giving this song a chance in Indy, a market that usually isnt too supportive of Dance, unlike Bloomington 50 miles down the road... They are playing the newer remix that has more of a Euro Feel, I guess its probably the version re released, or the version for over sea's... Anyway, lets keep our fingers crossed, cause if it dont test well it could be gone in two weeks, but usually WNOU dont add anything unless they think its gonna be a smash, their not a station that plays dead weight records. Who knows, maybe WNOU could add love is gone too.... Anything is possible.

Indianapolis has a dance station...Giant 90.9
If a record's doing well at the little dance station (Pulse 87, Z88.9, Giant 90.9, etc.), then the big CHR station (Z100, Q102/Wired 96.5, Radio Now 100.9, etc) will probably add it.

As someone who'd spent a couple of days in Indianapolis a few weeks ago I can tell you that Indi has NO Dance station. 90.9's signal only covers part of the city and the metro, and wasn't playting ANY Dance when I was tuned in.

Giant 90.9 is Dance in Evenings and all weekends only. Its like Hot AC at other times. If you had HD radio you could have listened to Pure Dance Orbital 93.1, its the HD-2 for Talk Radio WIBC,,, Orbital used to be Radio Now's hd-2 channel before they swapped owners and frequencys. Im sure if Dance tested a bit better here, one of the School stations would have picked it up 24/7...... I dont understand why Hoosier's (people in Indiana hate dance so much, aside from markets like Bloomingtn and Fort Wayne. You would think people would be more likely to accept Dance in a Larger city, rather than an unrated college town,,, But im guessing the College kids and Immigrants is why Dance works in Bloomington. Indy is very much a red neck city, most people like Country Rock or Rap here, plus it has alot of Ghettos and Crime, While Bloomington is a very safe, and Beautiful European like city with lots of Art Gallerys, Coffee Cafe's on the sidewalks,,, Unique Architecture.

Didn't hear Dance on the weekends on 90.9
I also think Indi looks pretty good. Like all cities it has its rundown areas, but overall I think most of its neighborhoods look much better then Columbus, Ohio (similar population size, and only 3 hours away). The suburbs of Indi are also really nice from what I've observed.
I think the main reason its surprising Dance isnt bigger in Indi is b/c it's huge in Chicago, and much bigger in other Midwestern big/large cities like Cleveland, Detroit, St. Louis, and Columbus.

Dr. Radio please don't pat yourself on the back. This was a total smash for me at Z889 last summer and at every club I dj at...Great you're supporting the song...but you waited until every other "big" CHR added it. If you were one of the first I would sing your praises.....This is the best dance song to come out in years...but not the remix...the original dance edit is the ay to go!!!
