WNOV-AM Milwaukee back with a new website and streaming

The station was off the air for almost 6 months earlier this year

http://www.wnovmusic.com/

They are now marketing themselves as "the hottest hip hop and r and b." In their previous incarnation they had an urban AC lean during the day and ran Baisden. Only the occasional liner is heard on the station and they sound much as they did prior to the Urban AC "magic 102.5" turn with translator and leasing group. They are now back under previous ownership, Courier Communications, I believe.

Thanks for the update. Last I had heard in the Spring, Courier was taking it back. All this said, the limited voicers sound very similar to the "old" WNOV prior to the "Magic" incarnation on the shortlived translator.

WNOV is WNOV, not sure if they have really cared much about competition in the past.

This morning I heard a local gospel music show prior to 8 AM quite similar to the show that ran on the station for years at least back into the 1980s. This was followed by a local political talk show with the disclaimer that the views did not represent the opinions of Courier Communications. I wonder if Neal is leasing from Courier. I also heard an ad for a Sunday gospel program presented by a local funeral home that has returned to the station.
