WNOX Air Personalities

I have a question about a couple of air personalities from WNOX-AM 990 during the late sixties and early seventies. First, there was disc jockey on WNOX during the late sixties that was British. I believe he was on during afternoon drive. What was his name and where did he go after he left the Knoxville airways? Secondly, during the early seventies, almost the entire air staff from WNOX walked out for a few days because of the actions of one air personality. Iirc, the air staff that walked out even took out an ad in the Knoxville papers stating why they walked out, leaving the disc jockey that did not walk out to run the station by himself for several days. What was the story behind this walk out and who was the disc jockey that led to the other DJ's walking out?
Edited by jwk1979 on 02/22/06 05:50 PM.

The British jock was "sir Bernard" Quayle. For many years he has been a presenter on an Isle of Man radio station that targets the British mainland. I think he goes by Bernie Quayle. You could google it.
