Wnrx

What's the status of the WNRX transition to its new tower? As I understand it, they are a Johnson City station hoping to get into Knoxville. Is that likely?

The owners seem to have taken a long time to get on the air from the new tower. The delays have to cost a fortune.

My understanding is that Cumulus moved WNRX out of the way and downgraded it to move WNML-FM closer to Knoxville, then sold it. WNRX will be a 250 watt station that will only serve Jefferson County. I'm not aware of a Johnson City connection

It is currently on the air with 200 watts from the WJFC tower. It has a CP to go to 950w @ 276 feet with the new tower somewhere near the lake north of Jeff City. I really can't define the current format, basically "All Over The Road".
