WNSR

Today when we were out in the car I switched between The Fan and WNSR to catch up on the Football action and heard a promo on 560 that said " If anyone contacts you by phone or by mail tell them you listen to sports radio 560 WNSR, Write it down sports radio 560 WNSR" My wife looked at me and said "Can they do that"? We haven't worked in radio for a long time now but when we did that kind of thing would get you fined! Have things changed?

Not Illegal, but a good way to get your calls dropped under the line in the next book. I'd be a shame too, because it would be better for WNSR's .3 to be seen in all its glory.

i wonder when contacted by phone or mail..if people really know who they listen to ?? they may know a dial postion (middle, left hand, right hand) ..but do they know the calls ? just how accurate are rating books ?

just how accurate are rating books???

According to Arbitron....

If you're in the Top 10 markets, diary-based ratings are obselete, inaccurate, not representative of true listening and biased based on recall of more established stations.

If you're in a market smaller than the Top 10, the diary-based ratings are state of the art with constantly updated research techniques, rich depths of data and very accurate and representative of true listening..

Either way, pay your #$%@%^% bill.
