Multicultural is moving WNSW's xmtr from the 5KW/DA-N Union Site to the
WPAT-AM xmtr,10KW/7KW DA-2.

I've noticed that most if not all the hours of Big Band Music that were on WPAT-AM have now been moved to WNSW.

It looks like those days may be returning. Danny Stiles has pretty much leased all WNSW's air time, save Saturdays, when gospel music airs.

Not so fast

Multicultural Broadcasting has applied with the FCC to increase the power of WNSW-1430 and diplex it on the WPAT-930 site. That's the 4-tower landmark alongside the Garden State Parkway near Exit 153 (Route 3).

As always the application is subject to Commission approval. Multicultural is taking advantage of new FCC rules for major changes in facilities. Northeast Radio Watch this week has details.

A side note: "WNSW" by itself is a teaser. Please be more specific when coming up with a title for a thread.

Do you remember WNSW when it was WNJR? I remember when WNJR used to play urban music on 1430 AM. Those are the good old days.
