Wnyn 1550

Sorry to hear WNTN 1550 Newton is decreasing power. I remember being stationed at Westover Air Force Base in 1980 listening to them. They had a very strong signal and play good music.

Why doesn't WNTN stay at 1550 and go 10,000 watts full time? Nobody's gonna hear them now!

There is likely no way they could go to 10 kw fulltime without a fairly complex directional system, for which the land, enginering and permitting costs would be prohibitive. And it's still just 10 kw on the rather dreadful 1550 frequency.
