WNYO 49 not getting CW Network

Almost certainly the cable only channel 16 WB affiliate. Now WBGT can have MyTV.

Why does this feel like Pax all over again... programs nobody wants to see done on the cheap.

Not the least bit surprising.

Assumptions not in evidence

WNYO-TV will be the My Network affiliate, yes. But LIN has not yet signed a deal to carry CW on WNLO, and while it's likely that they will do so, no such announcement has yet been made. With Time Warner taking over the Adelphia systems that serve most of the population in the market, there's always at least the possibility that if LIN and WNLO can't come to terms (not only in Buffalo - LIN owns stations in Grand Rapids and Austin, among other markets, that could potentially be part of a group deal with The CW), "Rochester's WB16" could suddenly sprout a Buffalo cousin. It's been quite profitable for TWC in Rochester, from what I understand. <P ID="signature">______________
