WNYX Montgomery, New York

Anyone know if this station has returned to the air? It was on the FCC silent station list and is no longer there. If you know of their website, I'd like to know that too. Thanks! :)

A search of the F.C.C. database indicates that the Christian station near Newburgh went silent last year in October. Their application to keep WNYX FM silent, filed in November, indicates they are trying to obtain financing and return to the air. But there is no record of any subsequent applications.
The station website (http://www.wnyxfm.com/) has apparently been shut down. This email address may still be valid: [email protected]

Doesn't Chladek's LPTV also use the WNYX calls?

And of course, there's always the fictitious "NewsRadio" station.

The station was playing some AC music for a few days 2 weeks ago or so. Maybe it's being worked on and coming back to life soon?

This is probably better in the Albany/Hudson Valley thread though.

WNYX was on the air on 7/02/12 for one day. It was also ID'ing it's two translators. It promptly went off the following day and has not returned. One of the two translators was confirmed on, but the Newburgh translator appears to have never been turned on at all.
