WOAI HD?

Are they still running it? I don't get a hint of it in Houston, only 180 miles away, with the analog signal clean and crisp almost like a local. I remember clearly hearing WOAI HD sidebands a few months back, they appear to be gone, with 1190 and 1210 conspiculously clear now. Did they give up on HD? Or just lower the power on the sidebands a bit?

Can't hear any HD noise for WOAI at all in north SA. I think they have it off.

WOAI AM HD has been off for a long time. I have my HDradio on it right now, 58miles away and nothing. Maybe when they signed on 105.7 they gave up on HDAM?

Before I went to VT in May, I remember it was off more than on.
When I came back a couple weeks ago, I tuned in and it was off.

Maybe that's it. But why don't they announce 105.7 on the air yet? If they're really staying up there on FM temporarily, it's a long temporary stay and people are probably finding out about WOAI's new signal and thinking it's permanent.

Or maybe when they put it on KQXT-HD3 FM they threw in the HD AM towel?

KTKR, right down the hall at the Radio Ranch, uses HD. It wasn't a cluster-wide decision.

KTKR is really strong on the North side, and sounds clearer than many AM stations.
Why in heavens name would they put HD on that signal?
The signal used to be in AM stereo, if memory serves me right during the Top 40 days.
