"GROUND ZERO WITH CLYDE LEWIS" focuses on the paranormal, conspiracy theories, UFOs, and other phenomena. The show is live, Monday-Friday, 10pm-12mid on 1200 WOAI, will be nationally available weeknights 10p-1a (ET)/7-10p (PT) beginning AUGUST 27th. Coast to Coast AM listeners will love Clyde's show because he features many of the same topics as George Noory - a passionate and knowledgeable approach to news, current events and politics, the paranormal, UFOs, conspiracies and much more. It's the best of both worlds. A live show which can and will cover breaking news and events of the day, satisfying the expectations of your current audience, Ground Zero will provide a strong live lead-in to the live Coast to Coast AM.

KLBJ-AM (590 KHz) has also added "Ground Zero" with Clyde Lewis to their weekday lineup.
They cut Clark Howard and have now removed the two hours of recorded Coast to Coast AM so that Ground Zero leads into the live Coast to Coast AM.

"Host Clyde Lewis is coming to Newsradio KLBJ starting August 27th, 2012 from 9pm-Midnight with his show "Ground Zero." Lewis is a powerful voice in the field of paranormal news and commentary. The Monday through Friday 10pm to Midnight segment of Coast to Coast will no longer be made available. The last night for that segment will be August 24th, but George Noorey will continue his compelling Coast to Coast AM shows every weeknight from Midnight - 4am on Newsradio KLBJ."

So IIRC, this replaces an hour of Michael Berry and an hour of Coast to Coast?

I didn't really care for the Micheal Berry show. Talk radio doesn't seem to work out with the former Houston City Council member. There was one issue I agreed with former Council member Berry with back in 2005. I kind of wonder why Berry didn't throw his hat in the Mayoral election back in 2005.

Other Clear Channel stations are apparently carrying this 'Ground Zero' show as well. KLVI in Beaumont is carrying it instead of Coast to Coast reruns. They might as well be carrying Alex Jones.

As for Clear Channel airing Alex Jones probably not likely. There is only 2 stations I hear him on the first being the infamous 90.1 in Austin and KLBJ 590/99.7 which is not owned by Clear Channel.

LOL, I can tell you that IMO, Clyde is pretty good, or at least better than Coast to Coast reruns. I lived in the Portland area back in 2010 and remember hearing him weekly sometimes on KUFO-FM (now KXL-FM). Usually pretty interesting topics were discussed.

I sampled this show for a few minutes last night. Much more political than Noory. The host seems to do his own research in presenting topics. He spoke at length about how the nomination of Romney was the fulfillment of Mormon prophecy. Noory OTOH, just directs traffic and lets the guests bring the crazy. ;)

I wonder if that isn't a bigger risk from a controversy standpoint. The producers can't just placate advertisers by not inviting a guest anymore if it's the host making the presentations that rattle the advertiser.
