WOAI's Joe Pagliarulo subbing for Glenn Beck this week

Just caught a bit of WOAI's morning-show guy Joe Pags on Glenn Beck's syndicated show. A very different performance than his usual mindless drivel about family, local restaurants, the Spurs and celebrity trivia. When he has no one else to talk to, it turns out that ol' Joe is actually almost as strident an ideologue as Glenn Beck.

I don't think I'll listen to Pags in the morning quite the same way now.

I'll have to listen in.

This just goes to show you national level wannabes: Make sure you suck up real good. I like Joe Pags and mean nothing negative toward him, but I do recall shortly after he arrived in SA, he sent Glenn Beck a little production for Glenn's Frog-FM or the Big 109 FM or whatever it is. It was really funny actually.

Anyway, maybe that was enough to get Glenn to allow Pags to be one of his fill-ins.

Did I mention I did weather for Scott Shannon when I was a senior in high school? Once. C'mon Scott, errr, Mr. Shannon.

I'm not so sure that Joe "Pags" is that much of a suck up. I caught part of the Glenn Beck show yesterday and he did a fine job. It makes me wonder though how long he will be satisfied with the fluffy morning gig. He also mentioned several times that he could be heard in several other markets and named one specifically that I can't remember. Is this a regular moonlighting job or is he filling in for others? Either way it could be that WOAI is just a spring board for a promising career.
