WODC imaging changed

I have been listening to WODC/93.3 The Bus today, and while they are still The Bus, they are going with "Columbus' classic hits", and while Chris Davis is still doing middays, Michael McCoy was doing mornings, and there's a new guy on in the afternoon (haven't caught a name yet).
 
Looking at their playlist today - I do not see any slightly more recent songs in the rotation - they used to throw in some 21st century stuff. Today there are some Rolling Stones and Pink Floyd songs listed that I do not remember in the previous rendition of the Bus. They seem more like 3WS Pittsburgh now.
 
Looks like a wobble towards newer classic rock, a movement that WLVQ hasn't done. Given WLVQ's much higher overall 6+ ratings at #2 (I don't have access to their specific demo), it seems there's opportunity to gain listeners by targeting #2. Iheart already has #1 6+ so it would make sense to go after #2. It also differentiates them from the 3-way classic hits/80s battle with WODC-WNND-WKJR, and WSNY to a lesser degree all going after much of the same demographics.
 
I didn't realize Chris Davis had already been doing middays. I thought they were strictly jockless.

I'd call it a 4-way battle adding in Classic Hits WNKO, although I don't know if they're competitive ratings-wise. Wish we could see the ratings for WJKR, too, although I'd note that NABCO's kept the Jack format longer than anything else that they've done with 103.9. For my tastes, I'd pick Jack's music over any of the others, with WNKO a strong second.
 
Have listened to "Columbus' Classic Hits" 93.3 a bit more, and looked at their recently-played online, and frankly I saw virtually nothing I haven't already heard on there the past couple years. Same era mix, rock vs pop ratio, etc. *Maybe* a tad more tempo on average, and maybe a handful of possibly-new-to-the-list rock songs (e.g., "Runnin With The Devil"). But at least so far, this seems to be almost entirely an imaging change.
 
Yeah. They call themselves Classic Hits now but they are still airing a version of the iHeart Variety Hits logs.

And Iheart has added staff on 93.3 The Bus. Note the talent comes from Ihearts other owned stations and is being voice tracked
Nina Chantele from Star 101.3 FM San Francisco will voice track for The Bus plus two talent from Iheart's DC operations Josh Markovitz will do afternoons and Tessa Hall does evenings.

The local staff are Chris Davis and Michael McCoy
