WODS Back To The '80s Friday Night - No Whitney Houston?!

Sorry, I couldn't let this one slip. I couldn't help but notice that Joe Cortese did NOT play any '80s Whitney Houston on his show last night. Correct me if I am wrong, because I only was in the car for a short while, however I checked the entire night's music log, and NO Whitney.

Before anyone says anything, Joe very rarely, if at all will normally play Whitney on his show. It usually 95% tired and true up-tempo and some hair band '80s gold with the occasional "oh-wow". But it sort of goes without saying that the death of someone who influenced the decade of your show should have been shown some respect and airplay.

I enjoy Joe's show and have for years (don't get me wrong), but I was sort of expecting some sort of tribute. Did I miss anything? I apologize to Joe if I did.

I do not know, however he has not been known to regularly play any real R&B per say. Prince, Mary Jane Girls and Shannon excepted.

The show has almost always been a a modern/new wave-ish type of show.

Joe puts MJackson in the mix as well.

I didn't hear any WH but I don't think I ever have? Talking Heads, Van Halen, Just an illusion ?, Deaf L ...
