WODS HD-2 "Pre-Beatles Oldies"?

Is WODS/103.3 still planning to put Pre-Beatles (pre-1964) oldies on their HD-2? I notice that they have yet to activate their HD service. I've noticed that WBMX/98.5 has their HD-1 up and running but it is not in sync with the main carrier. There's about a 4 to 5 second lagtime between the analog and the digital stream. Any thoughts?

The longer it takes for them to get it up, the better, as far as I'm concerned. It probably will be the best HD2 format, but since it's the last station in Boston not running IBOC, it's nice having 103.1 and 103.5 clear for DX for as long as possible. I know they'll be gone forever soon...

yes, i have a thought. hd won't be around much longer. these stations don't even promote hd-1 anywhere on their websites. any you expect them to launch some niche format that no one will know about? ha. even big corporate hd backers like greater media don't have anything on hd on their stations sites. that's a sign that hd is a big turkey and they've given up.

Over a dozen FM stations in the Boston area have already launched "niche" formats on their HD-2 signals. WODS and WBMX are just lagging behind.
