WODS Memorial Day Top 500 Countdown

It had really got me wondering what is the Top 500 based on? Surely not from the Billboard chart and I doubt it is from R&R. Does anyone know if it is based on votes, etc? Anyone with this information would be greatly appreciated. :)

Well, WODS sure isn't proud of the countdown, because I can't find a list of the countdown anywhere on their website.

By the way, while surfing/searching their website, I actually saw a few references to "WODS". Have they been getting inquiries from Jessica Heslam? ::)

I would think that most tight-playlisted oldies/classic hits stations just arrange the 500 songs they normally play into an order that guarantees that the songs that get played the most wind up at the top. Look for the usual suspects: "Oh, Pretty Woman," "Brown Eyed Girl," "My Girl," etc. I'd imagine "Dirty Water" will rank higher on WODS' list than it would elsewhere in the country, but otherwise, I'm sure there'll be few surprises on this list.
