WODS STILL airing Elvis Only??

I was just flipping the radio dial one Sunday morning and flipped by WODS, and to my surprise ... Elvis Only is STILL ON??? I would have thought they would have taken that show off the air years ago! Does it still fit their format? Does WODS play any Elvis songs at all as part of their playlist anymore??

Maybe it's on hiatus now (on WODS) what with the Christmas format. They do play a select few Elvis songs during the week--that is, before they went all Christmas-- including Kentucky Rain, Suspicious Minds, Burning Love; for a while they played the remix of A Little Less Conversation. Since WODS (again, before
the temp. switch to Christmas) plays stuff from the 60s and 70s ("...and now, the 80s!") it would fit their format..but take note that, with the exception of Elvis Only, the songs they played would have been from the last 10 yrs or so of Elvis' recording career.

During the week, I would not have expected them to play All Shook Up, Teddy Bear, Love Me Tender, etc. Just the songs mentioned above.
I think Gordon does the show from WODS* but it's syndicated.

*--from his site: "Jay lives in suburban Boston with his wife, two daughters and two dogs. In his “day job,” Jay is a Financial Advisor with a major brokerage firm." I'm guessing he either records it at ODS or maybe in a home studio.

Elvis and I are still with WODS. We're not on hiatus over Christmas. We're joining the party and playing Elvis Christmas songs.

Elvis Only was born on WODS in 1988, and, to our knowledge, has missed only a handful of Sundays since. United Stations Radio Network is our distributor.

Wouldn't be my cup of tea, but I salute you just the same! You must draw a loyal audience or this format wouldn't work. My own Elvis tastes conform to the later era, dating back to his so-called
"comeback" shows of the late '60s, and as suggested in the 2nd post.

Back in my own radio days, I was blessed with a live, on-air interview with a professional colleague of Elvis, J.D. Sumner. J.D., with the Stamps Quartet, sang backup duties for Elvis in the studio and on the road. He was a guest on my afternoon airshift in New Mexico in 1973. I was "blessed" again in October 2010 when I got to chat briefly with J.D.'s godson, Gene MacDonald, who tours as bass singer with the Bill Gaither gospel show.

I have a few greatest hits compilations of Elvis, etc. Glad the show has thrived over the years. I do know
someone who's a huge Elvis fan and years ago we'd record the show if he was away from the area. There is an all Elvis station on sat radio of course and I recall hearing it at Graceland's ticket office when awaiting the bus to go to Graceland itself. (I do have sat radio too)
