WOEZ Streaming Problem?

For the past couple days when I click on the WOEZ 'listen live' button the Eonstream player comes up as "loading" but never opens. I notice the same thing on country WSM-AM. Can anyone else see if they're having the same problem - is it my settings, or is Eonstreams having problems? Before this the WOEZ stream was sounding "tinny". They're the only streaming easy listening all Christmas station I know of, and I was enjoying listening. Thanks for any reports you can offer!

I'm able to pull the stream up, but it sounds awful. Obviously, the problem is on their end, and not related to your settings.

Re: WOEZ Streaming Problem Update

The good news is the Listen Live feature is working again, the bad news is it still sounds tinny. It almost just sounds like a radio that's not quite tuned in right. Is that something the station could correct easily? I can't imagine anyone listening to the stream, it makes the speakers rattle!

The KNCT website says they will be all Christmas music starting Sunday so I guess I'll try there for easy listening Christmas music.

For a really nice holiday stream...

...try www.947thewave.com . It's The Wave in Los Angeles. This stream is separate from their on-the air programming. It's mostly smooth jazz, with some traditional standards artists like Nat and Ella tossed in. No commercials.

Very creative - it's a way for a station to be "all Christmas" for those listeners who want it, without actually going all Christmas!

Nick, what about your own WW1 network that your affiliate streams on KKJL K JEWL 1400am in San Luis Obisto?

Well, sure! That's a good choice, too, pac :) Westwood One is "pop vocal" oriented, everyone from Bing Crosby to Gloria Estefan. The Wave's Christmas stream plays a lot of smooth jazz instrumental artists as well as some vocals.
