Just a marketing/business/publicity stunt by CBS. I have heard a couple of other stations doing the same thing the past few days and I wish it would stop. KYPL here in Yakima (Positive Life Radio) ran a Christmas in July food drive, so they HAD to run Xmas music. KHCB in Houston is doing the same thing when they have music programming. Stop making me think of 20 degree weather!
WFIL in the mid-80s, during its "The Boss is Back" oldies period, did at least one CiJ stunt, complete with Christmas wishes from on-air staff and behind the scene-ers. Are WOGL staffers doing the same thing this time?
Do any stations do a *June* 25 "Halfway to Christmas Day" stunt?
