First of all, this is my first post. Can you please explain to me, why WOGL is still playing three 60s songs an hour when every other CBS Classic Hits Station is playing 1-2 at most. If you say, because it is a heritage station...look at WCBS FM in NYC or Krth in Los Angeles. They have been around a lot longer and Krth is only playing 1 60s song an hour. WOCL in Orlando and Khits in Chicago are playing maybe 1 60s every other hour. I think it would be in their best interest to increase the number of 80s songs per hour and decrease the number of 60s songs. They also seem to play the same 60s motown songs. I believe if they really increased and added more 80s songs, they would take most of Ben-FM's share and would lower their 35-54 demo that is soo critical to the advertisers. I like 60s music, I just think it would be in their best interest. If they wanted to play oldies, they could move these songs over to their HD channels. The other thing I noticed, is that classic hit stations seemed to shy away from playing 80s r&b artists. If they play 80s...its mostly pop or new wave. Why is this the case? They play 60s and 70s r&b. There were some good 80s r&b artists...Luther Vandross, New Edition, Bobby Brown, Whitney Houston, Rockwell, Ready for the World. They seem to mostly just play Michael Jackson from the 80s. Does anybody know why this is case.
