WOGL Rebrands at Big 98.1

Philadelphia radio is so much better than NYC radio. In terms of formats
That’s sad because Philadelphia radio is just a shell of what is was in the 90’s. Y100, WDRE, WPEN, WPGR, WYSP, Oldies 1210, WFLN 24 hour classical, WRTI 24 hour jazz, WWDB, Kiss 100, Star 104.5, WJJZ smooth jazz and I’ll give 640 WJZ an honorable mention. Even tho they were a South Jersey station, their 50,000 watt signal covered the entire area with big band and swing music. Ah, the good old days of (mostly) 24 hour live and local great radio.

Those were some great stations but I doubt any major market has this variety of stations in 2022.
