is WOGL airing Scott Shannon weekend oldies show ? if so---- when?
I imagine cbs is forcing its stations to air it. ?

They are airing America's Greatest Hits with Scott Shannon on Saturday's from 5am-9am in place of Casey Kasem. I wish they would air this and then air the Casey Kasem America's Top 40 The 80s Sunday Nights...instead of the Doo Wop Shop. That will never happen though. Tommy McCarthy loves the Doo Wop Shop too much to take this off the air.

The show is called "Street Corner Sunday". It is NOT "Doo Wop Shop". The "Doo Wop Shop" was on CBS-FM. You seem to be insisting or are just mistaken that is the name of WOGL'S Sunday evening show.

AM/FM RAINMAN,

Street Corner Sunday (That is its proper name, not The Doo Wop Shop as you called it. If you're going to make fun of a show at least get the name right) is a very popular show that gets high ratings. High enough that when the suits at CBS did try to cancel it a back in 2001, when they attempted to purge all of the specialty shows from 98.1, they brought it back within a couple of months due to complaints from listeners, myself included. Street Corner Sunday just celebrated its 25th anniversary on July 2, 2014. No disrespect to the late Casey Kasem, but why would anyone want to listen to reruns from they 80s instead of Harvey Holiday. Your suggestion is just plain silly and ridiculous. Those of us that appreciate doo wop have to do what we can to keep this music alive. Based on what happened in 2001, there must be more of us in Philly than in New York, or maybe we're just more vocal!

No, it does not have high "ratings".

In fact, the rating for the show is about a 0.0.

It has a high share. But at that time of the evening, radio listening is so low that share is meaningless. 10% of nothing is still nothing. And that's why stations often run very odd niche specialty shows on Saturday and Sunday nights.
