WOGL switching to Christmas classics Friday

Just heard Angela Mason saying Friday at 9 WOGL will be playing all Christmas classics like they did last year. I do enjoy Christmas classics, but not for a whole month straight. Looks like I'll be headed to MGK come Friday.

That is exactly what I did last year. With the exception of the specialty shows, I tuned out until the Christmas Eve and Christmas Day special. It is not a slight on WOGL, but I'm just not into the holiday songs this early.

In the PPM world, with the entire 13th month rated, a station can wait and get some impact. But it will be minimal and again if I want to hear Christmas tunes as I host a party on my house Saturday nights, I'll be going to the B.

They won't win the XMAS battle, but they've lost a lot less when they do go all Christmas than when they don't. It makes for an easier rebound when all this nonsense is done.
