This road seems to have too many foldbacks, or we have been down it before.

WOGL is not an oldies station and has not been one (or considered itself to be one) for more than a decade. It is a "classic hits" station.

Classic Hits is a format that focuses on an 80's core, with some 70's and a growing batch of 90's songs. Oldies is a different format, based on the 60's; it's listeners tend to also be in their 60's or older.

How long until WOGL starts adding stuff from the 2000s? Heck, 2000 is almost 20 years ago already and in 2000, I considered songs from 1980 to be "old."

As soon as it starts testing well enough for them.

I HAVE heard a couple of Classic Hits stations dip their toe into the 2000's. But mostly with Uncle Kracker's cover of "Drift Away" or No Doubt's cover of "It's My Life"
