WOLD-LP this morning

Wow so at like 4:something I checked them out via WPRB-HD3 and their computer appeared frozen. Somewhere around 6 they tried to start another promo and it froze again. Then at some point around 7 something there was dead air with a slight hum. then about 7:45 or so it was fixed. Anyone know what happened? Was it during the overnight?
Have airchecks of it editeded of coarse lol

Then something this morning about an Ed somebody who died? Is WOLD-LP changing formats or something? Something about this guy being a big supporter of the station. Does anyone know what that's about?

In December 2020, WOLD-LP agreed to surrender its license to allow Best Media to move its translator on 107.9 MHz (W300CZ Ewansville, NJ, which WOLD is currently simulcasting on) into the New York City area. WOLD will continue to exist on WPRB-HD3 and translator 95.1 W236CT in Edison, NJ. But as of yet, the deal has not been finalized, and WOLD is still identifying itself as "Oldies 107.9".

W300CZ is picking up WPRB-HD3 off the air, because due to the tropo conditions this morning it had extensive periods of dead air or choppy, garbled audio when it couldn't lock onto WPRB's HD signal. The 95.1 translator was unaffected and continued WOLD's programming as normal.

Except that night that the PC freezing would happen, I heard it happening on the web stream too. It continued this until at some point I guess a reboot happened? At this point there was a lot of dead air and a hum you could hear. About 7:15 AM on Friday May 14th, the weather Jingle played and Shawn comes on doing the morning show.

Here. check this clip out which I've edited .

This is May 14th, early morning. I noticed this was happening as early as 4:something in the morning that morning.

Officially both 95.1 W236CT and 107.9 W300CZ are translating WPRB-HD3.

I'm not sure if I'm receiving WOLD-LP or W300CZ in my area, or a mixture of both, but I've noticed that the 107.9 signal is nearly a minute behind the 95.1 signal.

WOLD-LP is silent. Only the translator is on 107.9. There’s no STL to the 107.9 translator so it’s receiving it off the air.

At one point I recall it being a stereo signal but for a while now it has been in mono. All things considered, still one of the better sounding stations on the dial in the area. At least they're not throwing a stereo pilot with a mono broadcast like some other stations.
