WOLF PD

Jan Jefferies is programming The Wolf until they get a permanent P/D, and also programming WSM in Nashville

JAN JEFFRIES has been offically named Program Director for KPLX, while maintaining his role as Senior VP of Programming for Cumulus. A Cumulus/Southwest office will be established in the Maple Ave. building and Jeffries will split time between the Dallas and Atlanta offices.

Maybe we dont need PD's anymore, the VP/Programming can
do it.

I guess so. Programming the Wolf to be a top 5 performer in a top 5 market is a part-time job. Who knew?

Well at least Jeffries will execute his own directives. They now avoid paying a six figure PD salary. Now if he can program Nashville, he can open a Nashville office and save another salary.

No kidding. And who knew times were so tough that a corporate senior v.p. needs a part-time job on the side to help make ends meet?

Just wondering as I haven't had a chance to listen to their stream...what changes have been made to the Wolf so far...

None yet, but give it a few weeks, a month, or maybe a few. He'll flip the format to CHR and The Wolf will be put out to pasture on HD2. Don't believe me? He did the same to 99X in Atlanta.

Trying to save a little $$ in advance of their bid to go private??

Ahhh...so Jann Jeffries gets his incompetent hands on another station to destroy. Cumulus just does not get it with this guy.

Cume Clue Less does not get it period

More of the same corporate stupidity. It's really just too bad they don't go ahead and go BROKE so some local rich guy can give radio a try, hopefully with a little more brainpower utilized.

AMEN!!!!

LOL-
Last year KPLX was one of the top 6 or 8 ( that ballpark) billing stations in the market.

Yep, real corporate stupidity there. ::)

If you're waiting for KPLX to go broke, you might want to pull up a chair...
