WOLL FM move (CP)

WOLL FM West Palm Beach has a CP to move north. The new location will have WPB short of the 60db contour.

The station had decent ratings in the past. Will CC move the format to another freq, or just live with the loss of signal. The new city grade will be Stuart/ Port St. Lucie.

I would guess the move will allow CC to keep the station because of the ownership cap. Was this station in the Aloha trust?

This was in the Aloha Trust for the year 2008, but in early 2009 it moved back to CC as, IIRC, the new market definition rules put this station as well as WJRR and KYRK back in compliance with the FCC rules.

WOLL is currently licensed to Hobe Sound, just north of Palm Beach County. How much farther north is the station going to move? Since WOLL performs well in the West Palm Beach market, perhaps CC plans to shift the station to another frequency. Perhaps 92.1? Nonetheless, does this indicate that some of the Treasure Coast stations in the Aloha Trust - such as Oldies 103.7/WQOL - have a buyer? WQOL and WOLL have the same format; however, WOLL is much more live and local.

Sounds very strange that a station that does very well in the ratings would move out of the market. That just doesn't make sense.
