WOLS 106.1 HD

I heard WOLS- 106.1 in HD today. What did I see but WOLS-1, in great anticipation I pushed the button for HD-2 thinking wow it would be great to hear the Standards format currently heard on WAVO/WEGO. It was not to be, instead I heard what I assume to be WHVN....Oh well!

Sort of a side benefit I have noticed with the new HD signal. On the north side of Charlotte WOLS's HD channel actually makes the station more listenable with less interference on the northern edges. It hits the wall near Huntersville but I notice there is less static on the station as the HD signal keeps the sound cleaner heading north. This is up until the over riding interference from the 106.1 from the north. Of course, you need a HD radio to notice this improvement but at least I can enjoy it more on the commute. At least for the week before 106.1 dies and becomes spanish.

Tuned over to 106.1 on the way to lunch today, and noticed an HD-3...it's WAVO.
