WOLT 103.3 Horrible Audio

What's the deal with the audio with OLT? It's mono and sounds like it's stereo with L+R gone out of phase into a mono channel. I guess the "amazing savings" engineering department! Only so much tin foil and duct tape. ???
 
I never listen to 103.3 or 103.9 really but 3.3 has had problems before I know with broken transmitter, etc. Davidson doesn't seem too concerned about sound....103.9 sounded great when Entercom had it but since they took over it sounds like they're playing an online stream or worse...sounds like 2 tin cans and a string.
 
yep...the right channel went out on the automation....so instead of fixing it ..."let's just center the left...no one will notice"

insanity!......however you get to hear a few cool accapellas & instrumentals.

Lets center the left? Gee 103.3AM now that's different or at least it probly sounds like it. If your not going to fix one of the audio channels at least cut off the stereo signal and go mono.
 
yep...i suggested that

2 months now.....im tempted to go in there, tear down wires & fix it myself.
