I spent most of the July 4th holiday in Atlantic City (and no, I did not listen to a single minute of that new station). Anyhow, scanning the AM dial, and was psyched to hear a Dennis Miller show rerun, given what day it was. At five minutes to six, during the final break in that show's hour, I heard the WOND legal ID, followed by... three minutes of dead air.
Later that evening was also suspicious, as during the local portions of commercial breaks for Bill Cunningham's show, I heard only promos for other WOND programs. At some points, I heard no local promos at all, being treated to a two-minute instrumental bed of Kid Rock's "All Summer Long," something that I think is not even supposed to go out over the air.
I can't speak for all year round, and maybe it's jut a coincidence and the fact that it was, in fact, a holiday. But I would hate to think this is the way it is every Sunday, let alone Saturday, on WOND.
