WONDER IF MANEY HAS TO GO BACK TO SACTO FOR THIS

It says jury selection doesn't begin 'til September, so, in any event, there is no reason he should be there now.

What we don't know is whether Mr. Many is still a party. He could have been dropped or settled. I haven't been following it closely enough. Did he go through a round of depositions?

Frankly, I am shocked it's going to trial. I would have bet the farm on a settlement a long time ago.

Well, I read the first three paragraphs or the article, then realized the headline made sense on SO many levels...then drew my own conclusions.

Maney can't escape his part in this. Jennifer Strange's death should always haunt him. Can't run to Memphis and have anyone forget about this.

Also, he and (old partner) Lucas said they were going to sue for wrongful dismissal. Good luck! Never happen, boys!

Well, according to the very article you linked, "The fired personnel are no longer defendants in the case",
probably on a motion from the defense.

I am still shocked this hasn't been settled. Entercom has such bad facts here that there is little they can offer at trial.

Not foreseeable? Really?! If memory serves, the morning team actually discussed the Chico death on-air, and jokingly stressed the need for a signed release.

Wow.

They probably had that cute "hold harmless" clause in their contracts.

At Q, they should have the following disclaimer on their promotions:

"Our morning guy was involved in a promotion that killed somebody. He got away with it due to a technicality. He may get away with killing you on the same technicality. You've been warned. All the best."
