WONX SIGNAL QUESTION

Does anyone know if WONX is running non-directional during the day already?
I am about 5 miles south of Midway, and the last 2 or 3 weeks they are coming
in clear during the day. It is not strong enough to interfere with WCGO 1600 AM
from Chicago Heights, which is a weak signal in my area but very listenable since they did work on their transmitter in the late spring/early summer.

I was never able to pick up WONX until I got close to Midway before, but, now I'm
picking it up in my area. Is it possible that they are running 3,000 watts and they
just turned off the directional pattern. It does not sound strong enough to be the
7,000 watts, yet it is definitely coming in stronger than before.

Until WKKD 1580 gets moved to Silvas Illinois, & WCGO 1600 moves to Jennison Michigan, then they can't increase their power. So, they're still on their directional 3.5kw daytime signal.

I think the triplexing of WCGO's signal onto an antenna in Michigan was recently approved by the FCC. No new filings with the FCC about WKKD recently.

WONX 1590 is one of the worst offenders of over-modulation splatter I've ever heard.
They make it almost impossible to listen to anything on 1560 through 1620.
They are almost as bad as an iboc station.
I am not making this statement based on cheap radios, either.
Even radios with RF preselector sections cannot reject a signal that truly is too wide.
Why do they need to run past -100% mod, can they not afford some kind of processing?
