Former longtime WLBT weatherman Woodie Assaf passed away today at the age of 92. He was on the air at WLBT since the day it signed on in December 1953 until his retirement in August 2001, having done more weather forecasts than anyone in the nation. In addition to his TV work, he was in radio in the McComb area on WSKB (now WHNY), as well as WQBC Vicksburg and WJDX here in Jackson.
