"Cheney's Got A Gun" has to be the most classic non phone scam bit ever, with that Ryan Seacrest song a close second now. How do they come up with this stuff?

I heard the same Aerosmith parody on Glenn Beck this morning. Apparently someone with studio access and a computer can easily create, produce, record and distribute these parodies. Some people do this stuff for a living (Paul Shanklin comes to mind).

Simple: they steal it off the Internet! 90% of bits and silly news items you hear on radio or see on TV probably started on some website days or weeks earlier.

I'd guess that a thousand people thought of the "Cheney's Got a Gun" joke at just about the same moment.... have no idea who actually made it to air first with a parody record...

Didn't hear it, but it's probably either Bob Rivers stuff taken from his website, or the idea probably came from there.

I saw it Monday as a header on a CNN story.
