WSBX owner has filed for a STA to take WSBX silent due to "another transmitter failure." The filing also supposes that WSBX is in the process of being sold.

I have always wondered is there a person (or PC attached to the proper test equipment could do this while somebody drives the van around) who monitors OTA stations to insure the technical parts of licenses are maintained? Surely when going to the Gulf they could have noticed the lack of a signal. The FCC can check for public comments logs, why not a "quick" OTA check of the stations on the area, when in town.

What is there to sell? A metal building on a lot at the end of a dirt road. I cannot see how this property has any value as a broadcast station after being dark as long as it has.
