Woody Returning to Columbus

According to a Facebook post from Woody Johnson, he will be airing on 103.9 from 3-7 PM starting on the 22nd of July. Looking through his replies to many comments, he will be mostly working remotely from Las Vegas, but will be making appearances to Columbus. He also said Johnboy will be moving to middays.

I knew when Johnboy was named PD at NABCO that he would probably flip one of the signals to country and try to take down WCOL and iHeart for letting him go many moons ago. This is a big piece of that puzzle IMO. Makes you wonder if we will eventually see country swapping signals with 99.7?
 
Good to have him back on the air in Columbus. Two things. Will his addition move the ratings needle on 103.9? And does Woody bring hip pocket accounts ready to advertise? I call hip pocket accounts advertisers likely to advertise with the host no matter the station or ratings.

In the hour I sampled this afternoon, Woody did have an endorsement spot (can't remember the client or type of business). Woody has built up a lot of goodwill in his 2+ decades in town. This is a really good move for 103.9 which already had a great sound if not the ratings (yet).
