WOQL in Mass / Keene gets new calls...

As reported in fybush the former WOQL does indeed have new calls.....WSNI. These calls belonged to the former 'Sunny' in Philly. Does this mean a format change is on the horizon.....did they just barely switch to a classic hits format about a year ago.....any rumors?

Sounds like Northern New England is a great place to save a good call sign. Nassau parked WPLY from Philly on 96.3 in Walpole, and parked the WTHK call from Trenton on what was known as "Oy Vay" WVAY 100.7 in Wilmington VT. Is the southern end of the "Fox" simultcast from Rutland going to become, "100.7, The Hawk" ? Highly doubtful.. I'm sure the WSNI calls are being saved there for future use elsewhere, and the station will continue to be known by it's current on air branding..

Well I must say, my big girlfriend at cc and I are in the mood for some salsa!! Caluroso Maldición!!! We may just make the trip down to Keene to see what the new flavor is... I know we sure do wish we could get la Rumba 104.5 up here on the Farm is Sharon! Meow! http://www.rumba1045.com/main.html

Turno le hacia arriba!!!! Por favor! Turno le hacia arriba!!!!

The hispanic pop. in the Upper Valley must be exploding...hahaha! Right!

IT'S THOSE DAMN ILLEGALS!  They've gotten all the way to New Hampshire now!

Would it be in poor taste for the station to hold a contest... say maybe you win a prize if you can prove you hopped the border to Canada! And STAYED there! lol

"Hello folks from the Great White North! Here, have some of our fresh, garden-variety illegals! We'd forward you their paperwork, but uhhhh...." ::) ;D

Those calls are parked there with a capital P. The oldies / classic hits format does well in Keene as it has for many years.

I agree with NO DAG. WOQL was doing *very* well considering the size of the market and station. They had some HUGE promotional projects this past year after hiring the new morning guy....

I remember them working with Brad Delp, Olivia Newton-John, and tons of other target artists....they really are heading in a great direction.

I heard a rumour that this new morning guy quit?

Trust me, the WSNI calls are not parked with a capital anything. They are staying on 97.7. And, no, their morning guy hasn't quit. The liners are already teasing the new format on 12/26, and like I said...with calls like WSNI...do the math.

By the way, No Dag...the "classic hits" have already landed on 92.7 WKVT Brattleboro.
Believe me, if you bet on the current format of 97.7 staying after Xmas, you'll lose.
