WOR talkers

I don't think Mark Simone will be going anywhere. He was hired to do 10 to Noon at the beginning of the year and he'll probably stay as Rush's lead in. Hamburg has been with the station for decades and is in her late 70's. She may go to weekends and Rita Cosby may move to 6 to 8PM after the new year. Andy Dean's syndicated show now runs from 6 to 9PM.

I hope Simone stays. I find his show enjoyable..a nice mix of pop culture and current events.
 
I doubt WOR willll move Cosby to Evenings.

I notice Simone has Lionel on as a guest frequently. I imagine Lionel would like
to be back on radio. Lionel's voice gives me a bad headache.
 
The daytime schedule was put in place knowing it would change at the end of the year. Simone might have agreed to do a daily show as a place holder. Same with Cosby.

If Joan Hamburg is still making lots of money for the station she might be moved to 10-2 for as long as she's able. Rita Cosby is a perfect place holder because there's no possibility the ratings won't increase when Hannity takes over. You could put a talking duck in there and the ratings would improve.
 
I can't take Simone with his attitude and his old hack comedian guests or has been TV "stars" from the 60's. No wonder the station has a demo problem, why doesn't he just play some Perry Como records going into breaks to finish it off.

Simone does an arrogant act when doing Talk. His best days were on WNEW-AM with
Steve Allen.
 
Rita Cosby rambles & often does not make sense., Is there a WOR PD
to try to help her or is she just there until Hannity arrives ?

Speaking of radio from days gone by. That's exactly my point with Simone, because Steve Allen is so 2010's...

I turned it on today, and my point was even more proven. He had the Bacon Brothers band on to promote their gig. Something I'm sure people are clamoring to hear.

Rita Cosby is unlistenable. And I wouldn't expect anything to be done know that it is known that Rush and Hannity will be there in less than 2 months. Set the cruise control to coast and wait.
 
seems Randi Rhodes is staying with clear channel---Premiere. But she likely willl stay on
WWRL not move to clear channnel owned--- WOR. She is too liberal for WOR.
by the way---- The signal of WQEW generallly hammers the signal of WWRL in my area of lower
manhattan.
