WOR / WOR Radio Network

Now that the FCC has approved the sale and transfer of WOR in New York City from Buckley Broadcasting to Clear Channel, what becomes of the WOR Radio Network and its stable of heritage programs like one hosted by Dr. Joy Browne, Joan Hamburg and The Frommers?

I don't see Clear Channel purchasing that as well.

Anybody know?

Premiere Radio Networks has been repping these shows for ad sales. As of October 1st, we started affidavit
reporting on the Premiere platform.

Interesting. I wonder if that means they brought the programming or agreed to handle distribution. But from who doe these syndicated hosts draw a paycheck from? Buckley? Clear Channel?

Furthermore... anybody know when Clear Channel fully takes over operations at WOR?

The programming all goes along with WOR. The WOR Network as an entity will cease to exist, and the programming will be folded into the Premiere lineup.
