World Football League Affilliates

WTVK-TV 26 was the station that aired WFL in Knoxville, but I'm not sure they aired the game the entire season. Iirc, once the new fall season started in September, channel 26 no longer aired the games on Thursday nights. They may have aired them on a teped delay basis, but I don't think they continued airing them live on Thursday nights.

The Boston, MA WFL affiliate was Channel 56 WLVI, and in Hartford, CT, Channel 18 WHCT (but for only the 1974 season).

The World Football League affilliates I watched 1974 WFL games were on WDCA-TV 20 - Washington DC, and WBFF-TV 45 in Baltimore, MD.

WDCA TV 20 did show one WFL game I know of in 1975. They aired a Philadelphia Bell game. It was the Bell against the Jacksonville Express from the Gator Bowl. WDCA TV 20 was scheduled to show a prior game of the Bell playing the Memphis Southmen led by Larry Csonka, but it did not air. I was actually sitting in front of the TV with my cassette player ready to record an audio copy of the game.
