World's best breakfast show comes to Manchester

Elvis Duran, widely recognised as the host of the ‘World’s Best Breakfast Show’, will be appearing at this year’s Radio Festival in Manchester. Elvis, star of the Z100 New York City-based morning radio programme, Elvis Duran and The Morning Show, will be on a session called ‘The Best at Breakfast’. The event is being held at The Lowry, Salford Quays in Manchester from 31st October to 2nd November.

Elvis Duran and The Morning Show broadcasts live from New York and was celebrated as the ‘Best Morning Show’ by New York’s Achievement in Radio Awards. The show is syndicated on approximately 30 radio stations throughout the U.S.A. every weekday.

Consistently ranked number one across multiple demographics, it is the most listened to morning show in New York and broadcasts live in Philadelphia, Miami, Cleveland, Tampa, Phoenix and Atlanta as well.

Elvis’s career spans 30 years. He has been playing ‘dee-jay’ since the age of 12 when he rigged an AM Transmitter Kit to his bedroom ‘studio’ beaming hours and hours of non-stop programming to the residents of Dallas, Texas—well, the ones that lived within 20 feet of the transmitter!

Over the years, he worked in several cities in different time slots as he perfected his unique on-air style and personality. Eventually, Elvis landed at Z100 in New York. He started in the afternoon drivetime slot, entertaining listeners on their way home after work. His fanbase grew so rapidly he was given a spot on the morning show in 1996. Elvis has been making waves ever since.

Elvis Duran said of his upcoming appearance: “I am really looking forward to being in Manchester for what is regarded as the best radio festival in Europe, maybe the world. Interesting radio is all about entertaining listeners and coming up with new ideas to keep content fresh and interactive. I am excited to address some of the UK’s best radio talent and collaborate with the audience to share invaluable knowledge and skills.”

John Myers, Chief Executive of The Radio Academy: said, “It is a real honour to have Elvis in the building. If you are on the air, I recommend you walk over broken glass if necessary to hear how he does what he does. I can’t wait. It is a wonderful opportunity for our audience to get close to the best of the best.”

Re: World's best breakfast show comes to Manchester... UK

The title of this thread should be modified to indicate which Manchester is being referred to.

It's kinda funny that this is still here.

A) Not to do with newstalk
B) Not a discussion topic
C) clearly gratuitous SPAM

LOL
