Worst Cable Systems in America

Comcast - Monmouth, IL, population 9,476 and Warren County seat (Quad Cities DMA)--most channels in their same positions since about 1997 when TCI had the lineup, including whatever little bit of digital cable they have:

Unfortunately, the city's liberal arts college's (Monmouth College, founded 1853) cable lineup isn't much better, and hasn't seemed to change much since they started their own campus cable lineup in the early 2000s:

30 miles down the road in Macomb (McDonough County seat, Quincy/Hannibal DMA), the campus cable lineup for Western Illinois University (total enrollment 12,205, mostly on-campus residents) has improved compared to what it once was--and looks like it's going QAM-based starting this school year. I'll let you be the jury on whether or not this lineup is still cursed:

Considering how affluent Thousand Oaks is (from internet sources), I'm surprised they haven't been Spectrumized yet (most other Charter systems in that area have been upgraded). No HD at all!

Places like Los Angeles, New York City, Philly, and other large metropolises can handle larger channel lineups, while a cable system in a place like "Podunk, Mississippi" may be not have the economics and infrastructure to handle even a 100-channel lineup.
