It appears Leesville and Bowerston are now served by TWC's much better Dover-New Philadelphia system.

The original link led to a 404 Error page. I then entered Leesville's ZIP code (44639) and it led me to the Dover lineup. Yet when I enter the same ZIP Code on Zap2it, it still lists the old Leesville channels.

You need a QAM tuner to get the "digital" channels (which may or may not be HD). Also no VOD and just one premium channel (HBO).

I get a pretty good amount of rain fade with DirecTV but my alternative is Riviera Cable in Foley and it's about as sorry as it gets. The folks who run it are really nice and it's fairly reliable service but their DVRs are dinosaurs, they don't offer many HD channels and there's no HD PPV or internet service. It's like cable circa 1985.

It's pretty good for a small indie cable system in a rural area. It's also one of very few cable systems in that market to carry both Alabama PBS and Pensacola's PBS member (WSRE). Last I checked, Alabama PBS isn't on cable in Pensacola and WSRE isn't on cable in Mobile.

APT isn't on any cable system in Florida (or Georgia as far as I know).
WSRE has been on most all cable systems in Baldwin county for as long as I can remember. I've never known of WSRE to be on cable in Mobile county.
Of course both PBS stations are on Dish/DirecTV and UVerse in the whole DMA and WSRE broadcast from a tall tower in Alabama so it has a perfect OTA signal in Mobile.

Metrocast has since sold its Mississippi systems to MaxxSouth Broadband, but the Forest system is little changed.

By contrast, here's MaxxSouth's lineup in Newton County (next to Scott County, but in the Meridian DMA):

In fact, you can say Forest/Scott County is a media desert. The town's only AM station went dark in 2012, leaving two FM stations - both noncommercial.

I found out where this system was using the FCC's Cable Search. It's in Lake Wales, which is also served by a much better Comcast system.
