The New York Public Service Commission wants to force Charter to upgrade this system to get approval for its merger with Time Warner Cable.

http://stopthecap.com/2015/09/28/n-...th-charter-time-warner-cable-merger-proposal/

Back to Chatham...Here's an article from this past January:

Charter in $15M upgrade of cable, broadband in Chatham under PSC deal

Charter Communications is being forced to spend about $15 million over the next few years to upgrade the cable TV and Internet system in its Chatham territory in Columbia County as part of a deal with state regulators.

The upgrades will cost about $6,000 per customer. Charter must foot the entire bill.

The upgrades are required as part of a list of conditions that Charter has agreed to as part of the state Public Service Commission's approval last week of the company's $55 billion acquisition of Time Warner Cable.

By 2018, Charter must provide its Chatham customers with 100 megabits-per-second Internet service, and it must switch the Chatham TV system to all-digital service as well within 30 months.

That requirement mirrors what Charter must offer to former Time Warner Cable customers statewide. Charter is also required to expand its network to reach 145,000 customers in the current Time Warner Cable footprint who currently cannot get service, especially customers in rural areas. The Chatham upgrades are in addition to the statewide expansion requirements.

That Jay, OK lineup looks like it came out of 1992. Only 36 channels and TBS is still listed as WTBS! They haven't changed ABC Family and CMT is "CMTV" on the lineup listing. Wow...

Here's J&N Cable in Naches - not far from me. Not very many channels still.

Atlantic Broadband Moorefield WV (Hardy County - Washington DMA)
http://www.zap2it.com/rmp/tvgrid/tvgridprint?lineupid=USA-WV47551-X&tz=US/Eastern&time=1409097600
Just 36 analog channels, limited digital, no HD or VOD. Carries ABC Harrisonburg, ION Martinsburg, FOX and CBS Washington, NBC and FOX Johnstown and NBC Hagerstown.

Happily, Moorefield has locally-owned HardyNet, with a much better lineup and all the major DC stations:

It appears HardyNet has bought Atlantic's system and may have shut it down! Atlantic doesn't show up in the FCC's Cable Search for Moorefield, yet it's still on Zap2it.

I present to you Sunrise Communications in Northeast Michigan:

Atlanta/Hillman/Onaway, MI (Montmorency and Presque Isle counties - Traverse City-Cadillac DMA) has only six digital channels (none of them locals). Also no WBKB despite Hillman being almost on the Alpena County border: http://0101.nccdn.net/1_5/11c/24d/1b6/Atlanta-Hillman-Onaway-Lineup.pdf

Their other lineups are all very similar:
http://0101.nccdn.net/1_5/04f/391/202/Mullett-Posen-Wolverine-Lineup.pdf (Cheboygan and Presque Isle counties - Traverse City-Cadillac DMA)
http://0101.nccdn.net/1_5/2ce/25b/3c0/Drummond-Channel-lineup.pdf (Chippewa County - Traverse City-Cadillac DMA) [none of the six digital channels in the last two systems appear on this one or the following one]
http://0101.nccdn.net/1_5/341/198/062/CHP-Line-Up.pdf (Chippewa and Mackinac counties - Traverse City-Cadillac DMA) [this one adds CHBX]

Those Michigan towns in the last two posts appear to have no cable at all, per the FCC's Cable Search.

Some bad Midco systems in Minnesota:
Brewster (Nobles County - Sioux Falls DMA): http://tvschedule.zap2it.com/tvlist...6119&setMyPreference=false&lineupId=MN22592:-

Heron Lake (Jackson County - Minneapolis DMA): http://tvschedule.zap2it.com/tvlist...MN22611:-&isDescriptionOn=true&aid=tvschedule

Only the Round Lake and Wanamingo systems show up in the FCC's Cable Search. Brewster, Heron Lake and Round Lake are served by Southwest Broadband's system out of Lakefield (Jackson County - Minneapolis DMA).

Decent SD lineup, but only one HD channel (Starz).

I don't understand how Blue Mountain Cable TV provides KBOI, KNIN and KIVI Boise on their cable, but the NBC is Portland's KGW. Is there no fiber link for KTVB, or was this based off having a Portland station for Oregon viewers? Ch 7 "CW" is also Portland (KRCW).

and that is why you verify it on the Midco site which on those say "no service there" instead of ASSuming Zap2it is correct

unknown but both the DMA maps and Dish's "locals" site (which has to abide by the FCC law) says Portland TV market. I dont know how they are getting those Boise stations there

I just went to midco.com and entered each town's ZIP Code, and Wanamingo was the only lineup that showed up. As for the other five:

Unfortunately, we currently do not provide services in that area.
