Worst night EVER on SW band!!!!!

This is the worst night EVER on Shortwave!!!! These are the only stations I got on the WHOLE Shortwave!!

120-60 meters: fuggitaboutit. Those bands were RIDDLED with noise everywhere, even on WWV (5 mHz), which I could not pick up at ALL.
49 meters
5950: Taiwan, however it is VERY faint
5975: Radio Netherlands, extrememly faint
6060: Radio Habana Cuba, only strong signal on the WHOLE SW, only a fair signal
6090: Carribbean Beacon, fuggitaboutit
6165: Netherlands, very weak

41-13 meters: fuggitaboutthewholething!

Solar activity and aurora will take a toll on shortwave as well. I remember many years ago trying to work a Cuban on CW on the 40 meter ham band, I could hear the Cuban just fine, no one else was coming back to him but he obviously couldn't hear me.

I went outside to my backyard and here's what I got with no noise.

So of course I had to try... :) Antenna is a ~150' wire strung in the trees, long side facing 135°, no balun, coax into the garage, listening on a Drake R8. Very quiet on most bands- sometimes the noise floor is right at S1.

Basically, this was some of the better listening conditions I've had recently, while we're enjoying the mid-Atlantic "snow storm of the decade". I normally don't get stuff above 31 meters at night, especially when most stations leave the air late, but there were quite a few out tonight.

90 meters, same as you.

60 meters, quite a few. Didn't bother with 41 meters
4885 Radio Club de Para, a whole 1kw, weak

4985 Radio Brazil Central weak
4990 Radio Manantial, I think, very weak

5045 Radio Guaruja, I think, fair
